The perfect warmth for just about everything, Patagonia's classic, newly redesigned Down Sweater is lightweight with a shell made of NetPlus postconsumer recycled nylon ripstop. A material made from recycled fishing nets to help reduce ocean plastic pollution. Insulated with 800-fill-power Responsible Down Standard down certified by Control Union, this coat is oh-so-warm while remaining breathable and lightweight.
The fabric boasts a PFC-Free durable water resistant finish for a little extra protection in damp conditions and will also block out the wind while the down helps to trap a layer of warm air around your body. Additional features of the coat include two on-seam welted zipper handwarmer pockets, interior drop in pockets, and a zipped interior pocket with a carabiner clip-in-loop that doubles as a stuff sack when the coat is no longer needed for easy stash-and-go.

Patagonia are in the business to save our home planet. Their values reflect those of a business started by a band of climbers and surfers, and the minimalist style they promoted. The approach they take toward product design demonstrates a bias for simplicity and utility. Their criteria for the best product rests on function, repairability, and, foremost, durability. Among the most direct ways we can limit ecological impacts is with goods that last for generations or can be recycled so the materials in them remain in use. Making the best product matters for saving the planet.
