The Asics MetaFuji Trail shoe is inspired by the carbon-plated racing shoe designed for road marathons. This design results in a smooth, easy-rolling model tailored for brisk-paced running on relatively easy terrain with ample cushioning.
The key to the MetaFuji Trail's performance lies in its midsole, which features a full length carbon plate for rigidity, reactivity, and high profile sandwiched between a generous top layer of FF TURBO superfoam over a FF BLAST+ bottom layer. The FF BLAST+ provides a cushioned bounce for soft landings that adapt to the terrain, while the FF TURBO delivers the firm responsiveness .
The shoe boasts a 45mm stack height at the rear and 40mm at the front (5mm drop). The Motion Wrap TR mesh upper ensures a high-performance fit and breathability, while the premium ASICSGRIP outsole offers secure traction on various surfaces.
