With over 40 countries under their belt, the founders of InWanderment, Emma and Steffan, love nothing more than finding their next adventure. From summiting a mountain at sunrise to hiking waterfalls in remote locations, they love sharing exciting and challenging experiences with followers through photography, blogs and social media posts. 

It was this drive for adventure and travel to sunny destinations that inspired our new Hot Summer Collection. Designed to adapt to changing landscapes and offer the ultimate escape. Read on to learn more about InWanderment and how their story began.   

We’re Steffan and Emma, a husband and wife team who love everything and anything nature-focused, have a passion for the outdoors and travel, and love inspiring others to get out there and explore more! Whether that be around the world or closer to home. Between us, we do photography, blog writing, and content creation. We love capturing and sharing our experiences as we adventure through storytelling. 

And for the last 15 years, we've worked demanding corporate jobs in Recruitment (Emma) and Design Engineering (Steff) and have been juggling our side passions since 2019 when InWanderment began. However, in just a few weeks, that all changes as we leave our full-time jobs and take InWanderment on our travels. 

In 2019, we headed off on our first trip to the beautiful city of Lisbon. This is where we came up with the idea to start a travel blog. It was said casually as we walked the seafront at sunset, but it stuck with us, and as soon as we returned, we started thinking of ideas: InWanderment was born. The name was inspired by an innate passion for wandering and exploring and the feeling you get when you discover something beautiful or new and think, "Wow!"! 

Instagram shortly followed as an idea to support the blog, and we started to build a community of lovely like-minded people who also loved travel and the outdoors. I started writing travel blogs and booking trips, and Steffan bought his first camera and started to learn photography. It's crazy to think before this point, he didn't see the point in taking pictures. He really did learn from scratch.

In 2019, we travelled to nine countries to incredible places such as Morocco and Bali, capturing content and writing about our experiences. 

But in 2020, the travel world came to a standstill, and like many others, we spent time exploring the outdoor places locally to us. So our focus shifted from cities and cafés to waterfalls and mountains (although we still love coffee and cake).

We started to explore our local area, and in August 2020, we embarked on a month-long road trip around stunning Scotland. This experience was incredible; we travelled the highlands, climbed Ben Nevis, and even got married in our raincoats!

This trip lit up our passion for the outdoors. We decided to spend the next few years travelling to the UK, discovering national parks and remote beauty spots! Coupled with our first project with Cotswold Outdoor, that same year meant, we found our passion: the outdoors! We realised travel and exploration don't need to include jumping on a plane because there are so many hidden gems right on our doorstep.

In a few weeks, we set off on the biggest adventure yet. We plan to travel to 12 countries for over two years while sharing our stories and working on our passions as we go. 

We share this innate curiosity for places we've never seen, how other people live, their cultures and traditions and the beauty of this world.

Our favourite travel trips have always been where we have felt the most outside our comfort zone. Landing in a new country can create such a culture shock. You might think, "I have no idea how to navigate this and feel comfortable". But these are usually the countries we find ourselves thriving in and falling in love with the most.
