POLARTEC NEOSHELL
Polartec® Neoshell is one of the most innovative fabrics to grace the outdoor scene for a number of years. Combining the comfort of a softshell with the durable weather protection of a hardshell, this supple, flexible fabric gives you the performance you need without holding you back. The fabric’s ground breaking membrane provides incredible breathability, creating constant airflow that allows moisture to escape efficiently without reducing wind resistance.
EVENT: ROOM TO BREATHE
Breathability is a key feature when it comes to eVent fabric. A standard waterproof membrane requires a build up of heat and pressure to push moisture through it and away from the body. The eVent membrane has a unique construction made up of millions of tiny pores that allow moisture to escape at twice the speed, creating a comfortable environment and reducing the post-exercise chill that is caused by cooling sweat.
PERTEX SHIELD & SHIELD +
Pertex Shield and Shield+ fabrics are ideal for outdoor sports in which weight and breathability are key factors. They are soft, flexible and extremely lightweight, giving you a full range of motion that is ideally suited to high exertion activities. Its clever construction allows maximum breathability when you’re working hard and packs down easily for convenient, low-bulk storage when you’re on the move.
Keeping You Warm
Rab are known for the quality of their down insulation pieces. They have perfected the art of balancing warmth and weight in order to give you the ideal level of performance for your activity. Although incredibly warm and breathable, down loses its insulation properties when wet, which makes it less suitable for certain environments. As a result Rab have also developed a hydrophobic down fill and a range of synthetic insulation pieces aimed at keeping you warm in the most challenging weather conditions.
HYDROPHOBIC DOWN
Winter 2013 saw the introduction of hydrophobic down across the entire Rab range. A complex development process has ensured that each grade of down has received the optimum level of water resistant coating, allowing it to retain more loft and therefore warmth when it comes into contact with moisture. Add to this tightly woven technical fabrics and a tough DWR coating and you get versatile performance insulation products that can hold their own in more severe conditions.
PRIMALOFT
PrimaLoft is a high performance synthetic insulation that attempts to mimic the advantageous properties of down, while offering additional features that makes it particularly effective in tough conditions. Unlike down, PrimaLoft is quick drying and continues to provide insulation, even when wet. The ultra-fine fibres are light, compressible and transport moisture away from the skin ensuring a warm and comfortable environment within your garment.
POLARTEC ALPHA
Originally developed for the U.S Special Forces, POLARTEC Alpha brings a whole new level of breathability to synthetic insulation. Ideal for high exertion activities, its high-loft construction channels airflow extremely efficiently, helping to regulate your body temperature and keep you feeling comfortable when you’re working hard.

POLARTEC POWERSTRETCH
Great for layering, great for movement. Polartec PowerStretch gives you comfortable 4-way stretch combined with outstanding breathability and moisture management that you can rely on. The fabric draws sweat away from your skin and transfers it to the outer surface where it disperses and quickly dries.
MATRIX DWS SOFT SHELL
A soft, water resistant fabric that will protect you from the wind and is tough enough to hold up against the rock face. Ideal for activities such as climbing, where freedom of movement is integral to comfort, its high level of breathability will help to regulate your body temperature, even when you’re taking on the most challenging routes.
